The Star City School District is excited to announce the hiring of new curriculum and instructional specialists! This role is designed to empower teachers and improve classroom instruction, ultimately leading to greater student growth and achievement. Beginning July 1, SCSD will employ three literacy specialists and two math specialists to serve students and staff K-12. Thea Capps, Whitney Dutton, and Heather Gonzalez will make up the literacy team while Jan Hill and Britnee Wright support math.
What the Curriculum and Instructional Specialist Do?
The Curriculum and Instructional Specialist will be a dedicated resource for teachers, providing support in several key areas:
